As 3D technology moves further to the forefront, developers seem to be working harder and harder to create 3D content that doesn’t require you wearing those geeky glasses. Tokyo’s Sharp Corp. recently demoed 3D liquid crystal displays that shows a 3D image on a touch screen phone…when held 3 inches away from your face. Still a cool technology, hopefully next year they will have gotten to the point where you can hold the mobile phone…6 inches from your face.

Obviously 3D video and mobile content has huge implications for e-mail and viewing pictures from friends, but it has even greater implications for adult content. With users always looking for new ways to experience their favorite pornos, 3D content could just about be it.

A representative from Sharp Corp. state, “the displays can continue to show 3D images even when turned to the side, a key feature for smartphones.” Mass production of the 3D LCDs is slated to begin within 6 months.
