Finlandia! The land of fish flavored vodka, Marimekko, and cute blonds, has set their supermarket shopping bar high by now selling sex toys. At the Nordic supermarket chain Citymarket, shoppers can now purchase their milk, cereal, and RSFU Swedish sex toys right there in the store.

According to IceNews.com, RSFU chose Finland to test their supermarket sex toy sweep because Finnish citizens were considered the most likely of all Nordic people to purchase and experiment with sex toys.

“Supermarkets already serve people’s needs in health and well-being. Therefore it is appropriate to bring products that promote sexual well-being into the selection,” said Tomi Lahtela, a spokesperson for RSFU.

This reflects a recurring trend of sex toys become more mainstream. Obviously not everyone is pleased with this choice, although we’re excited to see how Finnish shoppers react. Paper or plastic?
