Where do porn stars and industry insiders go to network and create business deals? Is it a dark dingy sex dungeon? Nope. Is it a 70’s style mansion in the Hollywood Hills? Nope. In Los Angeles, the place to network is neighborhood joint Sardo’s Bar and Grille in a suburb of L.A. Like any standard pubby bar, Sardo’s Bar and Grille in Los Angeles hosts a variety of theme nights ranging from trivia, to family friendly Fridays, to ladies night and well, Porn Star Karaoke Night. And no, it’s not a place for you to channel your inner porn star, instead it’s a place where actual porn stars, porn star wannabees, and industry insiders can come for some networking and good old fashioned karaoke.

“I’ve made a hundred deals here,” says Sonny Malone, a video editor who goes to the karaoke session every Tuesday to network and hand out business cards. The networking phenomena began in 2003 when a group of porn stars dropped by Sardo’s after work. Coming back for more karaoke the next week, and still coming back six years later, Sardo’s has become that neighborhood joint that just so happens to double as watering hole to the porn stars.
